“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
Pablo Picasso

For over 40 years, I’ve poured my heart and soul into the art of pottery and sculpture. My studio, Fire Horse Ceramics, is located in an old horse barn—an environment that has been a huge part of my creative process. The name Fire Horse Ceramics reflects the powerful connection I feel to fire, clay, and the animals that have influenced my work over the years.

I specialize in both traditional raku and whimsical creations, but my work spans a wide range of styles and techniques. Every piece I create is a personal reflection of my deep connection to clay’s primal history. There’s something powerful about working with a material that has been shaped by humans for thousands of years, and I feel an unspoken bond with those early artisans.

In addition to creating, I love sharing my passion with others. I participate in local art shows, sell my work at Tamarack – The Best of West Virginia, and teach pottery at local schools and colleges. It’s incredibly rewarding to pass on my knowledge and inspire others to discover the joy of working with clay.

Art has always been my greatest passion, and it continues to be a journey of discovery, creativity, and connection. For me, each piece is more than just something I make; it’s a tangible expression of my lifelong love for the earth, fire, and the craft of pottery.
